The Pres in president doesn't mean present.Obama seems to have taken to the oval office his work ethic that he had in the Senate.Present.
In the highest office in the United States,the leader of the free world and CIC you can't just be present.You have to have some leadership skills,you have to be able to make decisions,you must craft the details of policy to a certain extent.You,at least,have to exhibit some leadership skills.One can expect that much.Not Obama.He thinks you just have to be there and then run a 'show' of actually doing something.
Anotherwords,present.He really has no clue what he's doing.The worst part is that we must endure 4 yrs of this.Unless he does something totally corrupt worth being impeached for he gets 4 yrs to be totally destructive and we can't fire him-because we picked him.I use the term we in the broadest sense of the word;some of us didn't.

Let's see what's happened so far:
He's spent a great deal of money.Far too much.He acts like it's his.Of course he does.He did say he would redsribute wealth and with the election was given permission.He now believes it's his even if he bankrupts the country.
He's nearly started a trade war with Mexico that would damage the already fragile economy.
It went into a bill that was hastily put together,never examined and definitely not debated.
As part of his dog and pony show he went to Elkhert,Indiana to push his stimulus package.He said that the stimulus bill might create jobs at a  Catapillar plant that was losing jobs.After the bill was passed there were 20,000 MORE layoffs.
It doesn't end there.He insults the Prime Minister of Great Brititan.He signals to Europe protectionism. This from a man who claims on the campaign trail that he's going to repair the damage done to our international image by the Bush administration.He sends Gheitner up to defend a plan that doesn't exist telling the media basically that Gheitner is going to blow their socks off. He abdictated HIS job as President and shoved it off on the Treasury Secratary.Worse,knowing that Gheitner didn't have a plan.
Let's have some sympathy for his Tres Secretary because Obama has not taken the time nor made the effort to appoint a staff for Mr.Gheitner.
An obligation he has as President. Has he done this yet? Nope. How important is this?It's one of the most  important Dept in this time of economic difficulty.

Let's get to the REALLY big problem with Obama.He knows how to sign a bill and those bills have been some of the worst to come down the pike from Congress.
Spend,spend,spend and we hear that he's planning to do more.
It's no wonder ppl fear he could bankrupt the country.He could.
None of these bills are actually designed to create jobs.
What about those shovel ready job he touts so much? They're going to labor unions.His payback to unions for getting him elected.
Remember these promises too;the most transparent admin in history.Really?
Most of the stimulus package was written behind closed doors.Nobody read it except staff let alone the American public.
Ditto the Omnibus Bill.
He also said it would be the most ethical admin in history.So far they've had nothing but tax cheats appointed and one got confirmed.
How about the promise of no lobbyists? Why didn't he say except for the ones his admin would give a waiver for?
The stock market dives.He says don't pay attention to it.
You criticize him.It's all Bush's fault.
If we get attacked who's he going to blame? We will to folks.He's taken the country back the pre 911 days.We can 't call them enemy combatants, we can't call the war on the terror,the war on terror.
The detainees are going to be given the rights of US citizens and tried in our courts as if they committed criminal acts when they were acts of war.This is where we were pre 9/11.
We are going to get attacked. The enemy can smell a weak President a mile away.Who will he blame then? His response will be:present.
What will he do? Go on the road with his dog and pony show and convince with a nod and a wink that everything is ok.
Look at what he's doing this week.He's going to go on tv with Jay Leno.Our own President. Can someone pls tell Obama we have real issues to deal with here and it's not all about him?

After i chose the 3 column started and saved it decided maybe the 2 column blog would have been more to my liking.Now when i go to change the blog theme all that is coming up are the 3 columns?
How on earth do you change the blog theme period? Also,not be pickybut is there ever going to be a larger selection of themes available?

The choices are limited.Not complaining,just asking.
I also wanted to mention i've set up a forum for Conservative/Catholic/Pro life bloggers to get together and share info,ideas, promote their blogs and their favorite blogs.It's not a forum to actually blog-but one set up to actually discuss blogging and give each other support.

The liberal media took a few words and ran with it.Of course they want Steele to be pressured to step down.For them it's another nail in the coffin of the Republican Party.The whole thing is silly.Steele is a fine man who is raising money for the GOP.

He should never have gotten involved w/ the  liberal news media. They will kill you every time.This is EXACTLY what is going on and rather than stand up for their guy they will run for cover.

The one thing liberals have going for them is they stand by their man right or wrong.One thing conservatives don't have going for them is they run for cover every time there's a contrived dust up.

Ok. He seems to be saying that a woman can choose whether to have an abortion or not.That's not true?
Even when abortion was illegal women made this horrible choice. So what does the Rep party do shut out and run off ppl who are pro abortion? Isn't this what the Dem party does?
Does this mean the Rep party has to change the platform? NOPE.i'd stand firm.The Rep party is pro life and the day they change their platform i'm out the door again.This is why i say i didn't leave the Dem party-it left me.IF the Rep party goes down this road they can keep going as far as i'm concerned. This to me is THE issue of our lifetime.
I do get what Steele is saying though. You can acknowledge that there are pro abortion Republicans without changing the pro life platform.We don't need to run them out the door and lose more support. As long as they stand firm on the platform that's what matters to me-i can look at individual Rep candidates and vote only for those that ARE pro life. Steele does the job.That's what matters.Steele is pro life period.That's what matters.
Is Rush our leader? He's a leader.Not THE leader.This is another one of those liberal media traps and Rush should have been smart enough to stay out of it. JMHO i'd like to see Lindsey Graham take the bull by the horns and become another strong leader in the party.
I'd like to see Graham run for Pres but for now our goal needs to be get control of Congress and put the brakes on the craziness in Washington.This means getting rid of the wishy washy Rep and liberal Dems. We need the blue dog Dems,anti stimulus/omnibus bill Dems and the Republicans with some guts about them.Meaning Snowe,Collins,Specter have got to go along with anyone else of their ilk.
Once we get this;then we can wory about who's going to run in 2013.The goal should be STOP OBAMA and his crazy ideas.

Pres Bush left Obama the rest of the tarp money. Then Obama came up with this horrible stimulus bill-more spending.But who's fault was that? NOT OBAMA.Bush.
He(obama) could have vetoed it.
Next;the Omnibus Bill.Obama's budget. Worse than the first.More spending.Now we're not talking about the Billion left over from the Tarp money.We're talking about TRILLIONS of new spending;8% OVER Bush's budget. That's not spending that's going to stop.This is over YEARS.Wait,that's not the end.They're talking about another stimulus bill and of course another bail out.
Not the end ppl.Obama is going to fix Chicago's public school problem by throwing MIILLIONS more at that.It won't really solve the problem but Obama thinks TAKING YOUR MONEY-it's not even his-and spending it will solve everything.He's spending it like it's HIS.
This is what you guyz voted for? Were you crazy?
He's going to help small business only to turn around and tax them.If you want to call $500 per business help.That won't do squid.
Shovel Ready Jobs? Remember that one? ONLY by union contractors.
There's no job creation in his bills.
Truth is,the financial institutions do need stabilized(that's a whole nother story with the Tres Dept being in shambles)but how on earth are you going to get the American people to swallow this one,after you have already SPENT trillions.
Yep,i said it.The Tres Dept is in shambles. There's 17(at least)unfilled positions. Think Obama could get this done? Nope. He's too busy spending and campaigning.All show.
That's ok.Just blame Bush.How long is this going to be good for? Trust me,if things go south under Obama he won't get the blame.It will all be Bush's fault.
